Is this part of my tractor?

Hi,

Have a TC30 new 6/04, been using it to "level" the mess left by the dozer guys. I recently found this piece of metal in the yard but could not find anything missing on the tractor.

Any Ideas?

All kidding aside Dartagnan I don't recognize it as a New Holland part. More than likely it fell off of something else. Our lot was full of surprises when we first started moving soil.

How big is it? Can't tell the scale from the photo. In any event, it looks too old and worn/crude to be off a new tractor. Maybe you'll find the rest of that guys dozer if you keep grading the lot.

Dartagnan; It doesn't look like anything I'm familiar with off of a TC. Whatever it is, it looks like it has had some wear. I just know in the short time you,ve had your machine that you most likely didn't put that much wear on anything. Must be something left behind by a former owner or off a piece of equipment that worked your property. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Scale on the object is aprox 1.25 inch square,

Wear...It's actually not worn much, just paint is gone in places.

I think he got it right! That's what I think it is too!

Some old Fords used similar looking wheel wedges, but I'm sure these are mobile-home sized wheel wedges.
