Found a 2305 w/fel and backhoe and 2 buckets with 65 hrs appx 2mo old

Thought about trading my 2210 w/fel and 263 hrs ,2yrs old
I want to keep my mower and front blade!
Dealer has 2305 priced at 18,900 and I would end up paying 7900 different
Seems to me either his price is a little high or I'm not getting enough for my trade
Also was looking at the JD site and it does not list a front blade for the 2305
shows a front broom and snowblower , so I was just wondering would my front blade and setup work on the 2305

Thanks for all help over the years

The front setup SHOULD work. Also, I would not trade for this. Essentially you are giving over $7K for some updated sheet metal, 2 horsepower and a nicer seat, which you could mount yourself on the 2210. I do think the 2305 looks a little snazzier, but not that much snazzier. You are in that zone in which I have found myself a couple of times. Your tractor is used, but not very used and I am sure in good shape. Your dealer will not give you the amount you need for your machine, because he knows he is going to have to price it well to sell it with the extensive promotions JD has on new machines. Even though it is hard to do when the "hankering" hits, I would suggest holding on to your current machine, or selling it outright and just buying a 2305.

Thanks for that info Like you said mine has some hrs on it but for a diesel it is just getting broke in. I already have the seat upgrade Very first thing I did ,I have the spring base off a 455 with the high back seat.
As for my fel even with a smaller brackets attached to the tractor the 2210 loader looks to me like it should be a better built setup over the 2305
Just my opinion

I just traded a 2210 for a 2520 and it only cost $7k
Had 150 hrs on it.
I had the first year 2210, and traded it on a 2007 2520.

You could add a BH to your tractor and still be money ahead. JC

That's a big price for the 2305. I would think the fel, bh, and 2 buckets would be closer to $16k, similar to the BX24 (the competition). I also believe the 221 and 2305 are virtually the same machine with different looks. The hyd system and mounts are probably identical. I would keep the 2210 at those proces...

Now that is a great deal IMHO!

Thanks again to all the replies been out of town for the past 2 days
I talked to a JD dealer in Hagerstown, Md and he wanted 10000 diff for a new 2305 fel and bh . So 7900 diff for a 2 mo out tractor w 65 hrs still not sounding to bad when you consider the bh alone for either tractor is around 6500
I still need to go back look the tractor over somemore, also look and see what if anything is needed to put my mower on and also find out if the 3pt drawbars are included.
A lot things to think about
As I told the son in law I guess in a yr or 2 when I done with the hoe and if he didn't need we should be able to sell it and regain some of the money

Thanks again

I hope I do not step on any toes here, but a 2305 with a backhoe seems a little like a toy. I hear they do well, but I cannot imagine they do that well as small as they are with the hydraulic flow they have. Am I missing something? My local dealer says the 2520 is about the smallest machine he recommends to use a backhoe with extensively, except in cases of very limited or easy usage. He says they do a great job. I think Chris has had good luck with his so far.

They beat the heck out of a pick and shovel.

Yes, the 2305/bx24 size machine that has a backhoe is limited in what they can do and the speed in whch they can do it, but they still work and I see alot of good stories of people useing them on this website.
