I have been talking to a dealer from several states away from me that has a new JD5525 for sale. It is MFWD, ROPS, 9/3 tranny with mechanical shuttle, isolated open operator station; Dual rear SCVs, Dual mid-SCVs, joystick controller, cold weather package, and front weight support. The msrp for this tractor is $42,000. Their asking price if I finance it is $34,000 (0% APR) and if I pay cash, then it is $33,000. So, the financed price is 19% off msrp and the cash price is 21% off msrp.
Plus, if I want to add a loader and a joystick with a third function valve, the additional cost will be $8650. So, overall finance price would be $42,650 versus $41,650 for cash.
Is this a good deal with or without the loader? I have been looking at Tractorhouse prices and it seems there is a wide range of prices for this model. These tractors (with or without a loader) with hours in the 150-600 range seem to be anywhere from the mid-high $20s to somewhere in the middle $30s.
Any responses that aid in my decision on whether or not to do the deal are greatly appreciated.
