Don't know what you're worried about. Your drive is wide open on both sides w/ no obstacles. Not like you're going to hurt anything but your pride if you slide off.

In once section of our drive which is much steeper than yours I've got a very steep drop off that tumble my L3400 like a rag doll. Other areas are numerous orange scarred trees :) and even the "flat" area has 4 nasty areas w/ streams running under the drive. And my wife wonders why I want chains.

PS: snow tires make a WORLD of difference for your car

The problem isn't the Subaru, its the tires. Get a set of Nokian Hakkapeliitta (on a 2nd set of wheels), and that will transform the your WRX into a winter-rally car.

Guess a Subaru Pocket Rocket with High Performance tires isn't for snow covered hills.

I know it was the tires on the WRX but I have another Subaru Sport that my wife drives and it goes like a, well like a SUBARU but the WRX sure doesn't with it's currently equiped tires. We get snow maybe 4 times a year so no second set of tires and especially when I also have a few more vehicles available to drive in the snow.

Uhh, did you notice the telephone pole right at the bottom of my drive?:) Also, if I slide off going down the street hill, it slopes steeply to the left till you hit trees or the creek. Oh by the way, the street that I scraped is dry today except for the snow packed sections that I missed are still there. Course it will all be gone tomorrow.

I was going to take pictures but it was to cold. Here's some pictures of the hill and the street below. Couldn't find pictures that show much. One is drive way, one shows Steve Barlow on L3240 leaving (just delivered B3200) and the lower street I did was behing the tractor in front of the houses and the other shows house on the hill from a mile away.
Wow John that's quite a hill. I would think that if you got going one could go across the road and then contiue down the hill towards the neighbour below you.
Now to me either one would be quite a ride LOL
