Buying Advice Is Model 640 Rake okay?

Hi everyone! I am looking at a JD Model 640 Hay Rake that appears to be in great condition. It is freshly painted, has all tines and appears to be mechanically sound. The seller is asking $1600 and I'm going to offer him $1200. We normally mow approx. 20 acres of hay. Any opinions on this rake and the price?
