i got an email from my local dealer stating 0% for 60 mos. i believe it said all CUT's, but i don't recall the date it was in effect for.
i found a copy of it, it says: ALL CUTS's, ends may 2, 2011, must be resident of AL, AR, CA, MO, NY, TX and that it's only valid at the dealer chain that sent it out.
not sure what the restrictions are about, i'd presume all deere dealers have the same deal going on.
I'm being told the all the dealers will offer % financing through jd however the number of years could vary depending on the dealer. Got this info. from deere credit.
I wish all the dealers did offer the same, my local dealer is only offering 0-36, a dealer 40 miles away is offering 0-60,which would make my payments alot easier to handle.
What they told me was jd offers 0-36 at no cost to the dealer, anything other than that its additional % cost the dealer has to cover, I asked 3 different dealers and that was what they told me, also confirmed that with jd credit, via customers online 800 number.Just curious. Presumably the credit is being obtained through Deere Credit.
1. Why would JD dealers have the last word on the length of the loan if Deere Credit is providing the financing?
2. Why would the local JD dealer object to a 60-month loan if the financing is provided by Deere Credit?
Sheer speculation on my part, but perhaps the dealers get some sort of incentive for sales with shorter-term financing.
Your ideas?
