The general class of "enviro's" and "anti's" are at fault, IMO.
They stop oil drilling off shore, on shore, stop refineries, throw up roadblock after roadblock, and then turn around and blame the oil companies for the high prices. I think we should start blaming those who are directly responsible. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Oil companies, IMO, will compete with each other for the sales of their products. When one can sell it cheaper, they will, and the others will follow. When the demand increases and they can't supply the product, the price goes up.
So, when we decrease our demand, the price will go down. I am happy that we can get it when we want it.
And I'd rather see stations selling at different prices, as then I would figure they were being more honest and NOT price fixing. Bothers me when all the stations in town (3 in ours) all change up or down at exactly the same time. Our state has the highest tax per gallon, and we are cheaper per gallon than other states to the East. Minnesota and Iowa to the West are cheaper per gallon by about 12-15 cents, usually.
