Is a YM2000 louder than a YM1700?

I have both a YM2000 and a YM1700. The YM2000 seems to be louder than the YM1700. Does anyone know if this is the case?

I guess it would depend on the type of muffler you have on the tractors. All diesel engines are loud due to the firing pattern.
