Is a backhoe on a CT122 worth the price?

For those that have a CT122 and backoe, do you feel you've gotten your money's worth from it? It looks like it will add $6k or more to the price. I'm just curious as I hope to purchase something this year. (I'll add a similar post in the Kioti forum to get ck20s owner responses) thanks

I think that really depends on what uses you have for it. If you have a lot of projects that are going to need a BH then I would say it is worth it. But, if you only have a couple of projects, save yourself $6k and go rent a mini.

I don't have a 122, I have a 230 with a Woods BH and I am glad I bought it. While I probably don't use it as much as I should to justify the costs, it has come in handy several times.

I have a lot of projects on the list to do with mine but it all involves additional money which is kind of low right now. I think I will get my justification for buying it, it is just going to take a while. It sure has saved me a lot of back aches though.

Look at it this way, $6,000 fir the BH or $200 per excavator rental. That is 30 rentals, will you use it 30 times before you sell the tractor? Also, you will get half of that money back on resale----of course you will reinvest the resale money in a bigger tractor (with a backhoe). Besides, it is fun to have a Bh.
