I live in West Palm , FL. I have access to water. I need to irrigate a nursery once per week by spraying the water over the nursery. I have seen the tractors in the area do this. The water goes out at least 50 yds in the air in a stream - more like a gian sized sprinkler head. Would a roller pump be ideal for this (Attached to the PTO of a New Holland TC40). Where can I buy the boom part which causes the spray pattern? What pump would be ideal for this?

Thanks for the info.

You need a 'volume' pump like a centrificial pump. You will not a lot of HP to drive a PTO pump.
Get some inch and a half fire hose and adjustable fire nozzle.
Figure how much area you have to water, how much in inches you want on that area and how long you want to run your pump... this will get you into the GPM pump size.
Your biggest problem will be getting a uniform coverage. KennyV
