int 434 oil change

Hi, going to be changing the transmission oil on my international 434 tractor,the info i have says it needs 4 3/4 gallons of oil does this sound right? also it says fill up to oil level plug does this mean it will be filled nearly to the top? Thanks.

the oil level check plugs in most trac tors are SELDOM ever near the top. Some might make it half way.. usually just under half.. that way things like pto, axle, and input shaft seals aren't submerged in oil full time...

Looks like the check plug is on the right side, the top #6 in the exploded view. The bottom #6 would be the drain plug. Part description is for both, being a 1/2" pipe plug. Most generally, the oil check plug is just below the level of the transmission main shaft, and/or PTO shaft. Depending on if the plug is fore, or aft.
