Hello all, and Happy upcoming New Year!

I recently bought bough wings for my B2789 blower, and they came with no hardware and no instructions, not can I find anything on the Kubota website. here is what the parts look like, and here is what the blower looks like.

Does anyone have these, and/or know how they are mounted? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Odd it didn't come with the directions or bolts. Mine did a couple years ago.

Assuming it is the L2177 kit that I put on my L2674 blower you need six 3/8" by 1-1/4" bolts and serrated flange nuts (or a washer and locknut).
I started with drilling the the middle hole. Dimensions for that according the the paper I have; from the top edge of the blower the middle bolt hole is 13 3/4" down on a B2789 and 16" on the BL2664 and L2674. From the rear most edge of the blower the bolt hole is 1-1/4" toward the front of the tractor/blower on B2789 and 2" on the BL2664 and L2674. Get the drift cutter parallel with the blower and drill the remaining holes. Pretty easy.

Below is a mounted picture.

Hope that helps!

Thanks a bunch, RCman. Will follow your directions - which make a lot of sense!👍

Thanks again, RCman. Now all I need is a big dump of snow so I can go out and try the new wings!

OK, I tried out the new wings on windrows that had been created by my ATV plow the night before. Temp was around zero Fahrenheit, and the windrows tended to be quite packed by the snowplowing of the day before.

The problem was that the tractor kept getting pulled sideways so that I would dig deep into the snowbank and then of course eventually lose traction. Couldn't key seem to keep the tractor going straight, just cutting off a slice of the windrow.

RCman, have you had this problem?

Nope never had that issue even with deep heavy wet stuff but my L3540 tractor and blower are a bit heavier especially with loaded rear tires.
Maybe some other BX or even B guys have some tips? Chains maybe? Sorry not much help. :(

I have a bigger tractor than you but on mine if I have too much side to side movement when my blower is down I get the same thing in frozen snow. Just something for you to check

With my BX2230 and its front blower, the snow banks will pull the blower in deeper to the bank. Actually it is the auger on the blower doing the pulling. More weight might prevent this, slowing ground speed might help prevent this pull. I have the same problem with my Simplicity walk behind blower which is light. I also have it with my Gravely 2 wheel walk behind with its heavy blower. When it happens to me, I stop, reverse direction and start my cut again. Hope this helps. Jon
