Kubota L3301
I have a two year old Kubota L3301 and when I ordered the tractor I had top n tilt hydraulics installed in the rear of the tractor for future use with a box scraper. I just bought a top cyl. and tilt cyl. and was going to measure for hoses. I was wondering if it makes any difference which port of the cylinder the pressure line goes. Sorta make sense the pressure line would attach to the back port (opposite of the piston side) but not exactly sure. Any help would be appreciated.

It only matters in determining which way the cylinder moves for each direction of the valve lever. If you have the Kubota valve kit installed it would have come with quick connects for the hydraulic output and you can quickly swap your hoses there to get the cylinder moving in the direction you want. Won't affect hose length since the connects are all mounted close together and all the hoses go to about the same place, give or take a couple inches.

BTW, there isn't a fixed pressure line or suction line. When you move the valve to each side of center, pressure and suction will alternate over the same lines. I assume you have the standard double-acting valve or the float detent valve (also typical for the Kubota kit).

^^^^yes.

They are both pressure lines. And need to be made as such.

An they are reversible. Hook it up and if you don't like the way the cylinder moves in relation to the level...swap hoses and it will be reversed

BTW, I have found that a good way to route the top link hoses is to go from the right ROPS (where the couplers are) across the toolbox bar behind the seat, and then down and in to the top link with a little bit of slack.

I have not permanently attached my side link hoses since I don't keep that on the tractor all the time. So those hoses just come down from the couplers to the side link with one extra loop to control slack.

I use nylon sleeve material (from discounthydraulichose.com) to keep the hose pairs bunched together to neaten things up.

I do have what you described. Thank you for the great explanation.

Thank you for the expertise. It all makes sense after reading your posts.

As stated above, the remote valves are double acting. This means pressure is applied to the ports in the direction the valve is set. Move handle one way, pressure is on port B and return to tank is through port B. Move the handle the other direction and the reverse is true.

The back end of my L3200 was really tight & I had hose routing issues. Mounting the QDs up higher if possible would give you flexibility & options. It all worked, I just chaffed & snagged some hoses a bit.

I had a joystick for my TnT controls. Definitely had to swap hoses when I first put it together to jet the joystick to match the TnT movement.

I'm sure you can find my posts on my build if you search on my name & l3200 TnT.
