Insland Marine (Tractor insurance) quote

So this year our homeowners insurance has changed and they no longer cover on property equipment. We are looking at the inland marine insurance and the quote is coming back at around $600 to cover a 50K tractor for the year.

Until we get our new house built, kinda backed into this corner. Anyone have any thoughts on this, the price?

I’m sure insurance rates vary in your area vs here in TX, but I have $26k in coverage on my LS for $110/year through the farm bureau.

$600 for double that coverage seems high to me.

I have an Inland Marine policy on my L4240 HSTC;$157/yr.and this is in NY state..

I have adequate coverage under homeowner's policy but wanted to check if Inland Marine would be superior coverage. It is Not. Homeowner's coverage is much more inclusive, almost covers bird droppings but there is 500 $$ deductible. Quote for Inland Marine. $4/1000. And some restrictions like no glass coverage, things like that.


EDIT: Moss Road might trade tractors with you, then you would require less coverage, therefore save you $$.

I just received my Inland Marine bill for my farm equipment & tools in NC.

TN 55 with loader, RTV 900, and B2320 for $207 with $500 deductible
$2000 in tools (blanket) for $16 with $500 deductible

Saddly Kubota will no longer insure non kubota equipment. Clearly I am getting robbed, and will reach out to other insurers in the area but is anyone using a national service they would recommend? Or one in the Washington State area?

Farm Bureau here in NC inland marine is $213 for $35 K coverage.

Not anymore. I called them two weeks ago and they said they didn't do other brands any more.

Give Liberty Mutual a try. I’ve got my Bobcat e42 mini-ex, JD4066R, and all my attachments covered..about $750/yr. I tried Inland Marine...much more expensive
