Injector pump

My engine, (Isuzu 2cylinder 2AA1)has a Kiki Diesel injector pump. Shortly after purchasing this tractor I decided to change the 4 oz. of oil in this pump. What came out of the drain port did not remotely resemble oil of any kind. It looked like coffee and smelled like stale gas. I have changed the oil twice in the last 10-15 hours of operation and the oil stinks and apears to be significantly less viscus than when it went in. I am using mobile 1 synthetic 15-50.
Do I need to rebuild this pump? The engine runs great.
Does anyone know who would be a good choice to do the work? I'd like to buy a rebuilt pump and have it on hand if this one decides to leave.

Another guy posted the same thing about his Isuzu pump. He said over a period of hours of operation the lube oil in the pump would become diluted with diesel and he would just drain and refill until he had time to have it rebuilt. The city I live in is 120K population size and there is a diesel injector service business that does this kind of work. You may have one near you. My Kiki pump also had diesel in it when I bought the tractor and I just drained and refilled. Haven't checked it since but it runs great. I guess diesel is a pretty good lubricant, at least for these pumps.

According to my manual there will be some leaking of fuel into the oil reservoir, and is to be expected. If it gets to be too great suspect the pump seal. Change the oil every 200 hours or as needed.

I think most newer common-rail systems need to rely solely on the lubricity of diesel fuel otherwise they're toast. I thought about changing the oil in my 2AB1 pump but maybe I won't even bother now that I'll probably find the same result :confused3: I'm out of room on the "to do" list anyway
