Hey Guys,
I started to work on my B7100 that was giving me problems again tonight. I think a few of my issues might have finally been identified.
I believe that the fuel filter element is wrong for my unit. I bought new O-rings, and this is keeping the unit from leaking, but a new element is certainly in order. To get by just for tonight, I bought a inline fuel filter that was originally for some car, but since it's on the low pressure side, I doubt it's really much of an issue for the short term.
I bled my system, but it just wasn't firing up. It'd give me a few coughs like it was going to take off, but would just fall on it's face again. I finally jumpered my clutch interlock so I could watch things while cranking, and I notice that the injector holder on #2 was letting compression pass. That's right! On the up, air/fuel was pushing out between the injector holder and the head!!!
I don't know if this loosened up when I was cracking the nut that holds the fuel line into the injector, but I kinda doubt it. I gave it about a 15 degree turn, and it seems to have seated and sealed. It now runs, but it taking a lot of cranking to get it going.
I ran out of light, and see that I now have a leak between the injector and the fuel line. I think when I cracked it open to bleed it, I must not have seated the line appropriately again when tightening it back up. When it's light outside tomorrow, I'll go back through it. Any insights would be very useful. I'm hoping that this will get my engine running well, and then I can figure out if my brakes are stuck or not. Hopefully this little machine will be a good tractor once these issues are sorted.
