Inherited a B1750 - What model of Kubota 3 cyl. diesel engine do I have?

Hey there,
New to this website and I'm very impressed with the knowledge and helpfulness of those posting advice and help for those of us not as up to speed regarding Kubota Tractors.
Here's my situation. I have inherited a Kubota B1750 tractor with the engine in a state of partial dis-assembly and need some assistance and guidance. Any and all help and advice is welcome, so lay it on me. Mostly I'm looking for assistance with the injector pump. It's missing and I was told that a replacement was to be installed but it never happened before my Uncle's death last year.

From my research before finding this website, I think the engine is a D950, but I'm not sure. Before starting out to get the tractor running again, I have to know exactly what engine I've got. I've "scoured" the engine for a tag, decal, etc. for a model # but I've found none.
All I have found is the following casting numbers, for whats that's worth;
9N - Intake side, rear, under rear intake port
927660B ( the O has an x in it)
K5C 0411 with an 8 above the 11) - On the head, intake side, rear.
Tractor: Kubota B1750D, #B1750D50138, 4 wheel drive, 3 cylinder diesel engine, 1640A Front Loader, Backhoe BL4520B

Any advice regarding the correct injector pump and installation of same is welcome.

I'll probably be posting for some additional advice as I progress with the restoration of this fine little tractor. I'm a retired industrial contractor, pretty good mechanically and electrically, so I can get it back in service, just need a little assistance, Thanks!

The 927660B is the engine size in cubic centimeters 927cc. The O with the x might be a Kubota logo, not sure, the B might be for B version of the engine. Engine is D950-5B 56.6 cubic inches and per my info is the only engine used in any B1750. I don't know what transmission you have but the manual transmission has 16.5 hp at PTO and hydrostatic has 15.5 hp at PTO. You can look up the correct injector pump on the Kubota website under parts to get the part numbers.

The info you supplied is exactly what I needed and has been verified by a friend of a friend that stopped by this morning. He has a L2500 fully rigged out.
Yep, the "O/x" thingie is indeed the Kubota Logo. It's elsewhere on the tractor in a few places.
I was pretty sure it was a D-950 from comparing pics of mine with those on Google Images and a bunch of different Kubota 3 cylinder engines for sale on Ebay.
At least now I can begin the fun of getting it back to running condition. Lots to do around here.

Looks pretty similar to the D950 that was in my old B8200. Appears the B1750 was follow-on model to the B8200.

When I had my B8200, I found that D-950 motor was used in sailboats, generators and other applications.

Yep, now the fun starts, trying to find an injection pump for the 950D at a reasonable cost. Several rebuilts are up on Ebay for $350 to $450 and while that isn't much considering the job it does for the time it will do that job, that's a lot of money to me. I'm exploring the possibility of finding the same pump without the "Kubota name" added cost. I'm sure these injection pumps are used for a number of different manufacturers and they may be for sale at a cost less than that of a high dollar name brand part.

I noticed on the "manufacturers name tag" on several pumps for sale online that they were made by "Zelex" of Japan. One was for a 950D and the other was for a Yanmar diesel generator. This deserves more research.
The 3 cyl. diesel engine is used in so many products like tractors, generators, construction air compressors and light towers, marine engines, etc.

If anyone has any information on an "part interchangeability" list regarding specific diesel injection pumps being used on various manufacturers products. The 3 cylinder diesel is so widespread, there has to be some info out there, so the search begins. I have more time than money so I'll see what I can find.
