I went to my local NH dealer today to ask if they had anything that would be compareable to the Kubota M8200 that would be around $30 (4wd, ROPS, loader, plus some other stuff). He told me that currently the closest thing is the TL80 or the TL90, but that NH is coming out with a TN80 or TN85 at the end of this year (late November or December). Does ANYONE know anything about this tractor or knows someone that can find out. About the only thing my dealer told me was that the motor is suppose to be the same as the TN85FA (orchard model), around 70PTO. I'll be the first in line for it if I can get it ordered before the special financing ends on the TNs at the end of November. If someone knows something, please share! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

All I know is if they plan on introducing them in November, it will be May at least before anyone sees them. Buy something suitable now if you need it, or be prepared to wait far longer than anyone will advise you of for anything that has yet to be introduced. The tractor you describe would be a four cylinder model requiring a new hood and many new under hood parts and components to accomodate the extra length. The current loaders may also not fit. These reasons may not preclude a 4cyl TN, but makes me doubtful, unless they turn up the wick on the current 3cyl.

I can second what RickB said. Introductions and reality are two different things in the New Holland world!

Have you looked at the TB series of tractors? I'd think that a TN85 or similar would be more expensive than the TB series...which you could pick up in the mid-high 30s with loader. I've driven a TB110.....100PTO HP on the dino. It is a powerful machine. It is not, however, a small tractor.

I had about decided on the TN75A, but called the local Kubota dealer to see if he could sell the M8200 for the same price as the TN75 quote I got. He figured for a While and told me a price that was within a couple hundred of the TN75. The only problem is now New Holland has the 0% for four years which makes it "in the end" about $3.5K cheaper. The reason I wanted info on the new TN (80 or 85) is that the New Holland dealer told me that it was going to be the competition to the M8200.

As a current TN owner that is not very happy at all with the quality of this particular machine I'd be skeptical about NH putting a 4 cyl where a 3 goes.. I've heard nothing but good on the TB and TS series if you want to upgrade. As my warranty is about to expire on my TN I'm looking at the TB and TS series... yes still a blue fan.

They already do. The TN90F, TN95F, TN95FA, and 4430 all have four cylinder engines in front of drivetrains substantially the same as TN's. Have you had drivetrain related problems?

Yes I have had drive train problems, hydraulic problems, cab problems (doors and electrical), fuel tank problems, air conditioner problems, remote hydraulic flow problems...
This unit would have went back had the original dealer been in business. Even after beating my head many times I still like NH. I'm thinking about a plain jane TB, minimal electrics for the larger tractor and we will be buying a TC40-45 here shortly for use in the vineyard rows.

Scott

that sure doesn't sound like most of the TN's I've been around. My first TN75S had computer problem that NH couldn't fix so they gave me a new tractor, but I have nothing but good to say about my TN and the dealer/NH service. Perhaps Spencer and Rick can comment from a dealers perspective on TN reliability.

Sounds like more problems than any 6 we have sold combined. NH would have taken that tractor back if it was warranted regardless of the status of the particular selling dealer. I have certainly seen compacts replaced with fewer problems. But I haven't worked on that particular tractor, so it is hard to say with any certainty.
