Why does Kubota use idi on all their engines up to about 50 hp? The diesel engine industry has seemed to get away from idi and almost everything now is direct injection. Just curious why Kubota seems to be sticking with idi?
Thanks

W,

Indirect will burn fuel with lower heat value and Cetane number more readily than an open combustion chamber.

Some places where these engines are sold do not have consistent quality fuel and they want to be part of the market.
