Kubota B2650 cab
the folded rops height. Kubota L4240 folded rops, 81.6 inches according to the email I received from them. My garage height is 82". Too close for comfort, a little snow or mud and disaster. I looked at and measured a JD 4120 and it is 78.25 inches. A little negotiation with the dealer and, well, I am now awaiting delivery in July of my 4120 with 400cx loader, HD bucket with replaceable cutting edge, loaded R4,s (rimguard), imatch, and a Frontier 6' cutter. Plus the JD dealer gave me a much better deal over the local Kubota dealer (but not better than Barlows). Thanks to everyone who gave me advice regarding the Kubota. I know that I would have really liked that 4240 but it was just not to be. But hey, green isn't too bad right?!

Nope, nothing wrong with green; enjoy your new tractor.

Don't feel lonely, I was looking for the same size Kubota (albeit used) and wound up with a Deere 4120. The 4120 was available, priced good, fairly low hours and not too far away. I suspect the Deere will grow on you as it is a nice, powerful, feature-laden machine. Mine looks real good with a bright orange box blade attached LOL!

I would have raised the garage, lol. Just kidding. The key is you are the owner of a nice new toy, I mean tractor. Green and blue are nice colors too.

Agreed, JD is a great tractor. I'm partial to my Kubota, however a buddy of mine recently bought a 2320, he got me thinking, and anytime he needs an operator, I'd be happy to help out. Congrats, you'll love it!!

Thanks for all the kind words. The waiting is the hardest part. Until then I'll just have to keep riding around on my JD L100 lawn mower, which by the way, does fit in my garage.

Can you share the price you're paying?
