I have lurked on the site for about three years since getting a TC40DA with the 16LA FEL & 758C backhoe. I usually don't post, finding any problem I've encountered has been experienced by someone else. The latest, an intermitten glow plug light, was fixed in less than thirty minutes thanks to those that are willing to share their knowledge & experience in simple easy to understand instructions. Thanks, keep up the good work Pineridge,Jinman your my idols.

Thanks for the kind words.:) I hope that TC40DA is still purring. Lately, my ignition switch is acting strangely. I can jiggle it without actually turning it, and the glow plugs will cycle. Also, my glow plugs stay on a little longer than they did when the tractor was new. Pretty minor stuff, but worth keeping an eye on it. Was your problem the glowplug timer relay?

Jinman, I expected the timer relay to be bad, it would work correctly when starting, but the the glowplug light would then come on intermittenly without the tractor moving. Someone had mentioned in their post that they thought their wires were loose, so this was the first thing I checked. They appeared to have been pulled out of the connector slightly . It appeared that in an effort to keep the wiring harness tight they may have gotten a little aggressive with the tension on the wire ties. I released the excessive tension on the wires, re-tied, ensured the connections were good, cleaned everything very well, and put everything back together. I have used it numerous times, no problems !!!
