I have read as many posts as I could dealing with the imatch/quick hitch and priced them at my local dealer. The imatch was actually cheaper if I remember around $350. They had a Land Pride for $420 that I thought too expensive. I recently saw an add for a used imatch for $200 photos included. I am not sure if that's a good price for used considering that I would immediately need to buy bushings just to fit to a new JD ballest box then cleaning it up, and painting.

I aslo am a little confused ( me confused what a surprise ) about these hitches in general. I was looking at a two United backblades ( 560HD and 556HD) on Everything Attachements and asked if they were iMatch compatable. I was told they are not. I would have thought that by now most new attachements would be.

I had hoped that I could rent or buy and just hook up attachments to a quick hitch and go, but apparently that's not the case.

Another thing is that these things are heavy enough that shipping takes a bite out of the wallet so you end up buying local.

I have a Speed Co quick hitch, It works ok, just remember that for everyone of your three point attachments you'll need two bushings for each piece. About $30.00 for each set, and as you found out not all are QH compatible. You may want to look at Pat's Hitches on this site in Dealers or Store.

I have an iMatch hitch that I can't use because I bought a much larger tractor. I have 2 sets of bushings with it as well. I was wanting $180 for the lot. One problem...I am in PA. Not sure if it could be shipped as it is heavy. Condition-wise, theiMatch is in near perfect shape with original paint and stickers intact.

Chris your teasing me :licking: I'll need to put on my thinking cap. Just checked Yahoo driving your 10 hours away. What do people do that have the iMatch are they modifying most new non JD implements to fit?

I used the iMatch on my 4320 to hook up my MX6 mower and a Buhler Rear blade. It was a perfect fit for those 2 implements. I know that other "non-iMatch" implements can be made to fit. It usually requires fabrication and welding that is well beyond my level of expertise. The lift arms on my new 5083E Limited have "draft balls(?)" that are too wide to fit into the iMatch channels. Deere says the iMatch should fit but it doesn't.

Wish I knew that, I just ordered one with my new tractor.....

In a perfect world-all OEM's would be making stuff to the ASAE standard-but sadly most still are not. Most things are not hard to modify to fit, but often welding/fabrication is required to do it.

I have an iMatch on my JD 2520 and a Frontier RB2060 rear blade. On the rear blade, there is a welded-in top link pin just below the actual removable pin that you would hook the top link to without an iMatch. I would imagine a top pin could be added to many implements that is at the right height to match up with the geometry of the iMatch hitch.

I recently found that my local Tractor Supply Co. stocked the bushings that are correct for the JD iMatch, as well as many other quick hitch varieties.

Hey Chris,

Did you try moving the lift arm balls to the cat 1 position? They might be the two position type.
