I would like to put an iMatch on an X595 mostly for quick hitching the ballast box whenever I hook up a front implement like a 45 loader or a snowblower. I believer the 3PH on the 595 is a limited CAT 1 however. Does anyone know if the iMatch will work with that 3PH without significant mods? Thanks.

According to the brocure from Stonehams they list a ballast box(Click-N-Go) whatever that is. I just have have the regular 3 pt box and it can be a pain to connect/disconnect if things aren't aligned right. There is also listed the alpha hitch which is kinda like the Imatch. I would be interested to know if the IMatch would work too.

I looked very quickly at the Deere site for the X595 and the specs they publish claim the 3pt is a Category 1. This is probably not true however - it is probably a limited Cat1 like you said. I have a Kubota BX23 which also has a " limited Cat1" 3pt and I put a Speeco quick hitch on it and it fit just fine. The bigger problem with the Quick hitches is usually not whether they will fit the 3pt arms but whether the attachments will fit onto the Quick Hitch.

The weight can be an issue on sub-compact tractors. If "limited" cat-I means limited in lifting capacity, the extra weight of the quick-hitch will further reduce how heavy of an attachment you can lift.

Cat-I quick hitch typically weighs about 75 lbs. If the lift cap of the 595 is 400 or 500 lbs, then you have used nearly 20% of your lift capacity just lifting the quick-hitch.

This may not be an issue of the thing you are attaching is a ballast box - just put less weight in the box.

Rick,
I am not sure what makes a 3PH "limited". It may deal with ability to lift a certain amount of weight or the height it can lift it or both. I believe the 3PH on a 595 can handle about 500 lbs of lift in the rear. I made sure my ballast box only weighs 400. The 3PH on a 595 will also handle several implements like a tiller and a ballast box that a "non-limited" 3PH will handle using an iMatch, so I don't think that in itself is an issue. However, I wonder if the iMatch can fit the hitch itself, or is too tall and hits the ground.

From the pictures I have seen, the attachment ends up at the same height as without the quick-hitch, and the quick-hitch does not extend significantly lower than the regular hitch arms.

As far as the ballast box being too low, that would depend on how far up the sides of the box the lower pins are located and what the max lift height of the "limited" hitch is.

I think a normal lift capacity for a Cat-I hitch is closer to 1000 or 1200 lbs. The 595 is likely limited by its own weight not being enough to stay balanced vs a weakness in the hydraulics to actually lift that much weight.

Waiting for one to arrive at the local dealer. I hope to know whether it will work by the end of next week.
