I\'m thinking of adding lights to my B7500.........
I know I saw a post here somewhere about adding lights to their tractor and I'm wanting to do the same. Do I need a bigger alternator or will the stock one work?I will add an extra switch for the lights only, so they will not be used all the time. If I do need a bigger alternator what size would you recommend and about what would one cost?

Re: I\'m thinking of adding lights to my B7500.........
I added three 55W floods to my B7500, and have had no problems. I generally don't turn the factory lights on because they're not needed unless you want to see the tach or fuel gauge. Using the factory lights is kinda like urinating in the ocean anyway.
One light faces the rear, and I used the "hot" under the seat. I added a switch for that, mounting it in the plastic trim on the inside of the right fender. The wire feeding the new switch is only energized when the ignition switch is on.
Two face forward, and are located on the FEL frame on a bent metal bracket. They are angled out slightly, and provide nearly 180° of light even with the hood in the way. These are wired from a fuse I added, coming right off the battery. It's handy that way, because sometimes I pull into the garage after dark. The garage light switch is way on the other side of a bunch of stuff to stumble over. The engine and key can be shut off, and the tractor lights stay lit till I get to the garage light switch. Here's a shot of one of the front-facing lights......................chim

If you going to purchase lights, (not kidding) check out the Kioti lights . Strong plastic housing, mount with rubber, prewired with switch. and orange to boot.
