I think that is about what they were when I quit. But I remember when I started we could buy three packs for under a buck and still have 5 cents left over for gum to cover up the smell so our parents wouldn't smell it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I remember when I joined the US Navy that cigs were $1.25 a carton when bought aboard a ship at sea (we called them sea-store cigs). Some of the guys were complaining because they had just gone up from $1.10 a carton. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif By the time I quit smoking in 1998, I think I was paying close to $2.00 per pack. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I'm sure glad I quit. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
