IH 3515 Backhoe

Found A IH diesel hydrostatic backhoe for sale. I was wondering what thier reliability and performance records are like. Plan to use it for work around the farm. The guy said he rebuilt the engine new pins and bushings and added heater. Hour meter says 4380 hours was wondering what it would be worth. Looks to be it good shape he is asking $7000.00. Any other info is appreciated.

What year would the IH and model be.
Did he do any work to transmission,and does the backhoe seem sloppy.

You might want to take a look under the tractor and check for leaks and dents, for thats a good sign of being work hard.

Those were as good of a unit as was built in there day. The engine parts are available thru your Case ag dealer but the chassis parts you have to go to Dresser. The price is low enough that if in good shape you can use it for a couple of years and still get your money back out of it when you are done with your work. Do you have the model correct? I think you might be off a didgit. Four cyl or six cylinder engine?
