TYM T474 48hp Cab Tractor 4x4 Cummins Diesel - farm & garden - by owner - sale

aka note: Cummins engine....Kukje license to produce Cummins engines. Seems to be a good enough reason. Note in the specs at the bottom: NO DEF.

From the Google Search Engine response to the question: Where in Texas is the TYM factory: TYM tractors are manufactured in South Korea with final assembly taking place at distribution centers in Wilson, North Carolina, and Caldwell, Texas.......................I wouldn't call that manufacturing, would call it final assembly and probably because shipping tractor parts....like tires and wheels missing, maybe ROPS and all makes for lower import taxes...tractor parts vs tractors, and lower shipping costs being a container can contain more tractors.....(opinion!)

Interesting, no DEF, but still does regens according to the manual.

There aren't any tractors under 75hp that use DEF. It's not needed to meet the emissions limits below 75hp. That statement while accurate is misleading. "made in Texas" is even more misleading.

TYM has some models using Kukje engines now. They call them their value models or something like that. The others use Yanmars.

I pulled up Tier IV requirements and the "cartoons" (illustrative pictures) as they are called, show 2 types of Tier IV Final designs; one with one without DEF. I didn't pick up on just what's required of the operator with one design over the other. I also found a chart that has to do with annual implementation of the Tier requirements with respect to year and engine HP. I have been thinking about another tractor purchase, new, and was trying to figure out which engine had what and whether or not it would be new or back to the Tier II era, like my 6530.

From that dealer's ad: "Proudly Built in Texas, don’t over pay for a rebranded TYM, buy factory direct and save thousands!"
I would stay away from any dealer advertising such BS.

wow are they really pushing for people to believe that line huh, you can even see in the picture they have on that post that on the FEL boom arm is says on the tym sticker assembled in Texas, not manufactured lol
see crap like this is why we dropped TYM as a dealer.
This and the fact their parts reliability is absolute garbage, as well as there service department when you need technical advice

Interesting. I know when I bought my 2400 from you you were handling both. I sorta figured that now that TYM was the parent co. you would have to sell both brands to be allowed to sell their products at all.

actually this is a very common misunderstanding when it comes to what TYM actually purchased, TYM only purchased the manufacturing side of Kukje Motors( Not Branson), they did with with the intention of improving their part reliability.
So far it hasn't helped much, but they are not in control of Branson USA they are still and will remain a separate company, and not associated with each other, that being said there will be some models that TYM is going to launch that are just like a branson as the parts both big and small are coming from the same line of manufacturing. and they mainly did this as was stated above its also for the ability to get the cummins engine in their equipment.

Thank you sir for pointing that out. Maybe you should push the site management to make a sticky out of this. Could make a difference in potential buyers being mis-informed and that affecting their purchasing decision.

I don't think that Branson/kukje and Cummins partnership lasted very long and they slit up 8-10yrs ago.
