What would be the best and fastest way to cut 5' diameter corrugated drain pipe? I need to make about 40 cuts.

Thanks!

Plasma if you have one, or a torch. Be aware of fumes if it's galvanized.

Large chop saw would work too for a cleaner looking cut, but a plasma would be quick.

Plastic or metal?

Steve

He mentioned steel in the title.

And I agree, torches or plasma if avaliable.

If not, a sawzall and fine toothed blade wouldn't do too bad either.

The old fashioned sazall with a high quality blade or a mini gringer with a 12 pack of zip disks.

Some thing came to mind are these cuts going to be made on a fixed in place pipe or slices off of turnable pipes.?

Not fixed, just loose galvanized steel pipe. Need a quick easy way to make about 40 4' long sections. Keep in mind guys, 5 foot diameter, not inches.

I think you need to make a rolling jig to have them turn slowly. So 40 pieces at 4' means 160' of stock. Now you have the lengths themselves say 20'. The rolling jig needs to be able to support down to the last 4'.
Another way is to chase them across the floor so PIE x D=15.7 ' of floor space.
For the rolling jig I would suggest several sets of 8" hard rubber fixed caster wheels bolted to the floor. To turn them you could wrap a strap around and pull it up with a hoist.
