Ideas for a hood cover on a 89 2155 JD

Mines is missing the hood, but has all the other parts that tilt and latch down. I have a large sheet of 12ga stainless I was thinking of bending and welding into a new one. all the used ones I have found are 200$ and 100$ shipping.


Anyone have any better ideas ?
