who else thinks these are cool? or am I alone! I might have to look into building one of these :D here at my local salvage yard there are some real classic JD mowers andI think I could score one very cheap;) at My age and with all the extra time I have on my hands now-a-days I wouldn't mind getting in a sport like this... sure looks like fun and maybe safe enough:)

Also like watching those mini beast..I try least make 4 events year..but there something about taking older riding garden tractor w/out suppering it and watch it pull..okay if tires are wider than normal tho..having youngsters giving there best.

Also been thinking same lines as you deepNdirt,I purchase 65/66 JD 110 type w/round rear fenders earlier this year...hopeing to be winter project thats if old man winter doesn't visit often.

Here is a picture of mine, it is a Cub cadet 1782 diesel that is fun. Runs in 1050 and 1200 lb. classes, is turbocharged on my Yanmar diesel from a JD455.

I like these too! The gas jobs are popular in my area and seem cheaper to build than the Diesels , but everything I own is Diesel , I would like to build one down the road!

These were very popular around here a couple years ago, but now most people have got out of doing it for some reason. I know most of it was because it turned into a "spending-War". Whoever spent the most, won, and these were just local people having fun, and the rich people pushed them out of the sport. Now, noone hosts pulls anymore, because the local people are not as interested. Most of them used Motorcycle engines, and they sure sounded cool at like 12,000 RPM!

My hometown hosts the "Midwest Cub Arama" every year. Folks from 22 states and Canada showed up this year with a total of 228 tractors. They have a huge selection of Farmall and International Harvester Cub and Cub Cadet tractors, Displays, Swap Meet, Vendors, Demonstrations, How To Clinics, Tractor Cruise, Tractor Games, Local Concessions, Small Tractor Plowing, etc.

To top it off they have their own parade going around the old courthouse.

It's a fun weekend if you are into that sort of thing.
