Re: I still haven\'t decided on my tractor yet. tractor
banjobj,
You're right! There is less activity here and the JD board is quickly catching up and appears will surpass the NH board in total posts soon.
I did a little checking on the Kubota area and found some interesting topics:
"I think I might have one or more bad glow plugs on my kubota..."
"The cruise control on my 2910 stopped working again..."
"I have a new (28 hrs)
B21. Having just parked it on the brand new slab I noticed a small puddle under the 4 in 1..."
Just a few but I for one am glad these concerns are on the Kubota forum and not here. You will also notice that threads soon go off topic (which usually gets interesting and fun) and especially with signatures you will see all brand owners posting in all areas, including here.
I purchased my NH TC18 about a year and a half ago...after reading this board's previous versions that were mainly Kubota oriented. Why? Because I found the TC18 to be superior in every area to the similar Kubotas AND I found a great dealer!
If I had bought a Kubota, would I still be happy today? I'm pretty sure that I would be...what about a JD? I'm pretty sure I would be. You have to decide for yourself which tractor is best for you, which dealer is best for you.
I spoke with an area Kubota/New Holland dealer back in December that told me that his Kubotas used to outsell the New Hollands but not for over about a year now. And he says he makes more profit on the Kubotas...but customers are going towards the New Hollands. Is this happening everywhere? I doubt it. New Holland is part of CNH, the World's largest manufacturer of agricultural equipment!
I really believe that through all of the posts and evaluations on this board, most have determined that you can't go wrong if you buy one of the major brands, some have bought other brands and have been perfectly satisfied with them. Just continue to read a lot and ask questions, talk to dealers, drive around when they're closed and check out the tractors, etc.
I sometimes wonder if many BLUE owners are "real farmers" like a friend of mine that would never have the time to post and participate on this board. I have posted much less lately because of work demands and I can not keep up with all of the posts.
Good Luck, JimBinMI
