I bought some yesterday to change mine and I think it was $36.95. And yeah it痴 meets the criteria so it痴 good enough For my machine. I just thought I give anybody the heads up since that痴 the best price I致e seen. Still no alternative to the $50 OEM filter though.

It's up to $38.99 here and never on sale. When I started using it they were charging 32 and occasionally on sale for 27. It is still the lowest price oil on the market that meets the needs of modern tractors.

The basic oil is all about the same, the difference is the additives.

You should weigh all your options; this isn't a good place to save a few bucks.

There are also synthetic, and semi synthetic options now, which can last longer, and work better in extreme temperatures.

There are many places to save a few bucks but hydro fluid imo is not one of them. Here's why. Agco 821xl fluid is sold in three ways non-synthetic, blend synthetic, and full synthetic.

Nextvrecognize that hydrofluid should get changed every 200 or every 250 hours per manuals and model. That's a lot of hours for a quality product to do "its thing". And each spring virtually every dealer has a spring customer appreciation days with discounts on parts (which includes filters and fluid). Last year i bought 5 gal full synthetic agco 821 xl for 75.00 and i could have bought semi synth for 67 .00. I wouldn't use less than semi synthetic for Wisconsin weather.

My point is non-synthetic tractor supple hydro fluid is only 20.00 a 5 gal pail cheaper and only 30.00 less than semi synthetis. It isn't worth it over a 200+ hour timeframe imo. Also, on the parts sale the hydro filter is less than 30.00. So i keep extra items on the shelf.

Just bought 2 pails. 39.99 each.
Printed on the pails is that it meets xl821 spec, permatran III, and other massey specs. Works for me.

If it meets the Specs., it's good enough for the equipment that requires those Specs.

If a machine needed semi or full synthetic oil, the manufacturers of their machines would specify that in the Owner's Manuals and ship their tractors with the same. Regardless, I always change my oil and filters at the intervals that equipment manufacturers specify.

That's the way I see it. But like always, "To each, their own."
