Greetings and thanks to all on this site for the great information on tractors!
The decision for me was between the BX 1800,2200 or the B7500. Then it was between the B7500 and JD 4110. (I think I have the JD number right) I decided on a B7500 mostly because of the higher ground clearence over the BX's and I just liked the Kubota over the John Deere.
I'd only been mowing less than an acre for the last three weeks since I bought it. That was ok. THEN... last week two tri-axle loads of strip stone were delivered for the 600 foot driveway and parking areas. I finally got to really use the 302 FEL. WOW was that fun!
I just ordered a Woods 48" rotary cutter. Kubota orange, for the brushy feilds which I plan to do once or twice a year.
Everything on this tractor meets or exceeds my expectations!

Ride it around once for me. Mine is setting in a crate waiting for me to move to our new home 1400 miles away. I talk to the dealer about once a week to make sure he hasn't sold it. He keeps telling me to relax, it will be there when I get there.
I can't wait. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Good luck with your new B7500

Thanks Keith,
I said I was "mowing a little under an acre for the last three weeks". I neglected to mention that I mowed it twice a week though. :)
I think I have 8 or 9 hours on it, it's almost time to fill it up!

Rick-welcome to the group. You'll get some great info here. Visit often at night. Leave the daylight hours for seat time.

What kind of tires are the best to use on the B7500??? Regular tractor tires or the R-4 industrial tires??

Most of our work has been with backhoe and FEL in dirt and brush. Digging, moving dirt on dirt, digging brush, pushing boulders, dragging cement slabs, etc. etc.
The R4's have been adequate with rarely any slippage.
You can drive it on the lawn without damage. I wouldn't try to drive on grass a whole lot or it will tear it up. The Ag tires would wreck grass.
So, I guess the answer is, it depends on what you plan to use it for.

New Texan,

Donny-you can't go wrong with R-4 tires. I have them on my B7500. They don't tear up the Bluegrass unless it's wet and I'm careless. Slow and easy on the turns and they're no problem.

Yeah, I have R4s on mine and they don't tear up my lawn too bad - although I don't use my Kubota for finish mowing. But the reason I keep it off the lawn unless I need it there is because I'm concerned about compacting the soil too much - and my tractor doesn't weigh as much as a B7500 (but is a close cousin - did I mention I was born in Texas /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif).

Oops - had to edit. I would recommend R4s unless you'll be doing a lot of either lawn type work or lots of road / concrete driving. For pastures, etc. I think R4s are the way to go....
