Do you think this is right? If you take your BX24 to the dealer for them to fix campaign/recall item such as replacing the broken plastic fender, would you think you should get all the same decals that came on your tractor originally?

I would think the safety and location decals all over the tractor are required and they should at least put those on. I also think the 4X4 decals should be part of the fender replacement but I guess the dealer doesnt see it that way.

I mean, I paid for those in the price of the tractor, for them to take off my fender and not replace them is stealing.

Whats your opinion?

The safety decals are required by the regulations and the other decals should be replaced also. In other words...restored to its original purchased condition. Make them do it.

I'd think so, you should get new stickers. Sounds like they didn't finish the job.

Lot's of legal stuff makes them put those stickers on, I don't see why the same legal stuff wouldn't make them put those stickers back on.

I think some manufactures will give you replacements for free if they get damaged.

In my owners manual for the plow it says if any decals get ripped or damaged replace immediately and it gives you all the part numbers.
Just demand the dealer order you the decals and you put them on. If you want them straight, if the dealer is giving your a hard time they might just slap them on. It's your tractor, they were on before. I would also find a new dealer.

I spent a night in the garage with a heat gun a couple days after I got the BX and removed all except the two you see in the picture. They are now stuck on one of my storage boxes - probably at least 30 or so.

Dealers are hard to come by around here. This particular dealer is 90 miles from me and is where we bought 2 tractors, a BX24 and a BX2350 both at the same time. The 2350 is going back for water/dirt in the dash and the knobs are falling off as soon as we can.

I have another dealer 107 miles away but we did not buy them from this dealer. Do they treat you any different if you didnt buy it from them when it comes to warranty?

I tried to get Kubota to send me the parts and I would send my old ones back. Nope they dont send parts to the owners. That is BS because they sent me some part that is supposed to keep the seat from falling off a while back when the seats were falling off.

Kubota treats you wonderful in a time of Recession. ****, they don't need any revenue or customers. They are doing just fine treating customers this way.

It's really a shame to read all of the posts where everyone is having problems with quality, dealer support, etc. It seems to me that Kubota would want to do everything possible to satisfy their customers. I even wonder if any of the infomation on this site is ever forwarded to Kubota. If it was, I would hope that someone there would realize that there are a few issues that they need to investigate and address. Or, maybe they have the attitude that they are building a superior product and that we are all just a bunch of complainers. With the problems that some are having with their tractors, I knock on my metal 3030 hood that I don't have any issues ... yet! You should keep after the dealer/Kubota for your decals. Good Luck.

Yes the dealer should replace all the stickers if they don't I would call Kubota. I think they would be interested in this because of the safety concern of the warning stickers. Good luck.

My take from what's going on with dealers and kubota quality is.
My dealer said it well when I told him I wanted a new plow and not a new one that has been dragged around the yard for to two years faded and beat up. He said the majority of tractor owners would not care.

Most tractor owners don't care about stickers, welds, scratches, waxing etc.
That maybe true, but this new breed of B's and Bx's owners do care about these things myself included of course .

N80 said it very well in another post

We are EXACTLY the breed that Kubota is marketing to and exactly the breed upon which their success is founded. All you have to do is look at the glossy Kubota ads with the beautiful house in the background, the beautiful wife on the beautiful lawn next to the beautiful tractor being operated by Mr. Goodbar with a couple of potted plants in the tiny little FEL bucket that is a perfectly painted as the hood on his Lexus. This guy is not interested in crappy workmanship and scratched paint. Kubota better not ever forget that. If they do, their next ads can feature a toothless, barefoot hick in a straw hat sitting on a muddy little BX cleaning up the pig stye.

I think Kubota and it's dealers treat us like we have five employees running the tractor on the farm and we don't care why should they.

I told a friend of mine that I go on a Kubota forum site and post about my Kubota and talk to other Kubota owners about our tractors

He called me a donkey , he said were all donkeys that go home at night and post about our tractors.
He said a REAL operator who works his tractor for a living goes home at night and drinks, he doesn't go on the internet and talk about it.
I thought that was funny. Now that guy doesn't care what his tractor looks like.
And Dealers and Kubota have to start realizing that.
Or are we wrong and only a small handful of guys compared to all of Kubota sales. Sure there are a lot of guys posting about lack of quality and scratches and welds but how many guys in the big picture of Kubota sales really care.
Scary thought.

Well I got 4 inches of snow to go plow,

Hello fish, are you in AK? I had to order parts from Kitsap (spelling?) tractor in Wash. Yukon Equipment gave up it's kubota dealership. I would love to find a dealer in AK to get parts for.

My experience with motorcycle parts replacement is that you have to pay extra for the decals. I would be pleased as punch to get rid of those stupid safety decals. I never look at them in any event.

If it came on the tractor when new and the company recalls and replaces the part, the replacement part should be the same as a new one in my opinion. I talked to a regional Kubota Rep one day for quite awhile while at my dealers. Steve (the dealer) was on the phone so the rep sat down with me at the table. I asked him who buys Kubotas. As previously stated or speculated, most of us Kubota buyers/owners in US are suburban large lot or small acreage owners and landscapers. I said most. There are some big farm owners that buy Kubotas but most of are not farmers. We are willing to pay a premium for a durable workhorse mower that will last and do extra stuff. Looks like we also are comparison shoppers and feel/believe we has chosen the best tractor for the money in the orange color. We have workers in our midst that get them dirty and scratched and swear by their durability and workability. We also have some that expect our tractors to be stamped out and aasmbled like a Rolls at a Lexus price. Good luck Kubota at keeping us satisfied, so far no other company has ever been able to. I've bought 6 in the past 4 years, currently have 3 and am satisfied with their quality of production and durability. I have had some problems and they have been resolved to my satisfaction by my dealer. That's where it's at guys. Your dealer. I've heard that at every Kubota forum and am convinced that's where it all starts and ends.

Just like a gate, should be left the way you found it.

I was thinking the bottom part of the floorboard that is replaced on the BX because of the cracking issue does not have any decals or warning labels.

I could be wrong..:)

They probably "Should" replace them.
As to whether or not they have a LEGAL obligation ? - I doubt it.
My guess is that most of the warning stickers are there due to liability paranoia.
I could almost agree with a position that they're not obligated to warn you every time you look at the tractor, you should KNOW where you could get hurt.

In the general theme of Kubota quality - Yeah, at least they're showing some consistency.
I vaguely remember something about consistency and predictability being dimensions of quality..... or maybe it was that consistent process can produce predictable outcome (/product).

Another part of me says that this is right up there with rim waxing, but heck I've finished clearing snow for the day and I didn't even hose the salt slush off my loader or rear blade.
So it probably comes down to driveway ornaments and pride of ownership - but I'm a slob, so ignore this.

Go back and get your decals. When my cracked fender was replaced the dealer installed all decals including the 4wd.
Warranty repairs are supposed to bring the unit back to factory condition. Regardless of what part or decals. If any dealer of any equipment or vehicles says decals are extra, find another dealer even if they are far off. That type of dealer WILL screw you anyway they can.
Good luck

why not just call kubota manufacter and have them send any current stickers they have. It doesnt need to be for bx24. bx25 stickers should do, unless someone here can prove me wrong. ;). for your time, working with the dealer, its not worth it since he is over 90 miles from you.

You asked for an opinion. Does my opinion qualify? I am the director of corporate quality assurance for a fortune 400 corporation that designs, manufactures, and exports industrial (not agricultural) equipment from Virginia to over 40 countries.

Because my company is an ISO certified company, we have a system in place to enable any customer to communicate a complaint directly to my desk. It is my responsibility to receive, interpret, and direct customer complaints to the appropriate managers within the company that I work for. I then track each complaint to ensure that the root cause is determined, and a corrective action is implemented. If requested, a response is communicated back to the author of the complaint.

Kubota is not an ISO compliant company. However, as owners of Kubota products, (I own a BX24) Kubota has provided us with a system to voice our complaints and request responses. See https://www.kubota.com/f/secure/contact_pctract.cfm?

Because I can relate to whomever it is at Kubota that reads the complaints sent to that site, I can assure you that your chances for obtaining a satisfactory resolution are directly related to the amount of detail and diligence that you put into comunicating your complaint. I can also assure everyone that Kubota values OUR opinions. They may not even know of TractorByNet.com. However, whenever we voice complaints to the Kubota website, we can reference the discussions from here to (if appropriate) indicate that the problems that we (as individuals) are comunicating are not unique to one owner.

It is my opinion is that Kubota, (although providing some of the best products on the market), as a company, is not perfect. However, constructive customer feedback from persons like ourselves provides the ability to make a good company better. I encourage you to do it for them. I encourage you to do it for us.

Thanks for the responses....I need to look for another dealer I guess.

I am not in Alaska, I am in Southern New Mexico.

I am curious as to the BX-24 plastic fenders are breaking so they redesign it and add bracing. Then they come out with the BX-25 with a metal fender. Why don't they use the metal fender as a replacement instead of making the same part in plastic and metal.

This is why our tractors are so much $. The make 2 of the same part in 2 different materials.

I am not so much interested in the decals being on there for me.....but if I sell this thing, I will not know the education of the buyer and would hate for someone to get hurt.

You know, it may be (it should be) that the dealer's warranty claim resulted in Kubota providing both the fender and the decals to the dealer. It may be that the unscrupulous dealer intends to sell his (free) decals for additional profit.

However, you have decided to leave the Kubota Corporation in the dark about your disappointment and the substandard performance that you have received from this problematic dealer. Please explain how your actions, or this discussion, will be productive?

Let me tell you about my BX24. It was delivered to my home. I checked the inspection paperwork and found everything to be in order. I put the tractor to immediate use excavating rock and clay. After 20 hours of hard 4wd use, I checked to fliuds. Only to find that the front axle was dry. Not low. Not leaking. Dusty dry. The paperwork indicated that the dealer had checked all of the fluids. My dealer assured me that no harm was done to the trractor. I, on the other hand, assured my dealer that he was full of BS. In the end, he took care of the situation to my satisfaction.

I then wrote to Kubota to express my dissapointment. I also indicated (although they knew) that THEIR warranty costs had been inflated due to the negligence of that dealer. As a result, my dealer does not like me much anymore. That's OK with me. However, they double and triple check everything that they do for me, because they know that I know how to contact the folks at Kubota.
