I loaded my recently rebuilt offset disc up Saturday afternoon, along with the tractor and took it to the scales. The disc has to be unhitched and the tractor backed over the tongue to get the tractor's front tires on the deck, to stow the ramps and lower the loader bucket. Tractor and disc on trailer axle weight is 18,240 pounds. Trailer empty weight on the axles is 5740. So with an empty trailer.........my truck has 1120 pounds of hitch weight.
With the tractor and disc on, my truck has 2160 pounds of hitch weight. If I had a 27 or 28 foot deck, instead of the 24 foot deck, I wouldn't have to unhitch the disc and that would move the tractor back a little to take some weight off the hitch. I got up to about 55 mph going and coming to scales and just love the way the rig handles.

Sad thing is, I just bought the new trailer home last July 31st!
