I like that 6500 4wd!

Did drive a 6500, and liked it.

Question about loader and hydraulic pump. I thought that the loader mover rather slow. The Joystick has a "fast dump"position, but it really didn't seem to be any faster. Maybe I missed something. (Dealer did not know a whole lot about the machine).

Is there an upgrade for the pump. I notice the 7520's Hyd. pump is rated at 17 gpm. The 6500's is rated as 11gpm.

Hydraulics confuse me - like most things - Will a larger capacity pump make the loader and bucket move faster?
If not,what is the advantage of a larger pump?

More RPM makes the loader faster also.

The loader speed on the Mahindra was one of my worries. I have a lot of time on construction equipt. and grew up on a Case skid steer UNI loader.

I run the 3510 at around 12-1500 rpm and the loader is plenty fast. Would faster be nicer? Not at the expense of the amount I can lift.

Lift is function of pressure. A larger pump, with same pressure setting, will not impact lift.

There really is no such thing as a "fast dump." It is a regenerative function that allows the oil to move from the rod end of the circuit back to the base end without flowing through the entire system. This prevents cavitation. With an empty bucket you will not see much difference.

Hey, thank you guys. If I'm not careful - I'll actually learn something.

The Bucket was full of snow when I was dumping it. So...some weight in it. I'll not fret over it anymore.
