Well today I unexpectedly added a little piece to my collection. :D

Was just planning on walking the show quickly while the wifey waited outside. She didn't see the value in paying another $9 for her to browse. Sometimes there is jewelry but not this time. She gave me instructions to text her if there was. I did text her but only to warn her I found something. Ended up walking out with a MP9 Shield with Crimson Trace green factory installed. I think I am going to like the quick target acquisition especially in low light situations. The slide action doesn't feel as smooth and solid as my full size MP9 but I think it will surely make CC more comfortable.

Came with two mags, a 7 and 8 round. My pinky falls off the 7 round mag but hangs on to the 8 rounder. Might have to get a couple more of those. Loaded up the mags and boy they are stiff. Can't get the last round in either. There must be a technique? :confused3:

Also picked up a few MagPull AR magazines for $12.95. I thought that was a pretty dang good deal... at least for a non on-line purchase. I am starting to pile these up. One thing I guess that makes me feel a little better on the purchases... I expect my guns, ammo, and mags should hold their value unlike other hobby purchases. Someday someone can appreciate them as inheritance or at least parlay the stash for something they crave.

I saw sign outside gun store; "You wife called and said you have to stop and buy another gun."

Kinda thought it was cute......Cheers.. Coffeeman

$510 w/ CT laser factory installed. Interesting to me that the laser has the MP signature wave grips like on the slide. image-1029660692.jpg

I just wondered as Cabelas had a good sale on them not long ago and I bought my Shield then...

I bought 8 rounds mags on line for $22.00 ea. to my door, they were new S&W mags...

I like mine too, and have been shooting it some when we go to the woods for firewood...

Hard to get a grip on it I see. Need the extra long Mag.
Yes looking for something online today. To be honest my grip as you can see wasn't snug up against the trigger guard but even with the 8 round mag and snug, it is marginal. I wear XL gloves and this compact pistol was as comfortable as I could find for my hand. Nice weight and not too small but significantly smaller than my MP9. I'll wear it on my 4 o'clock.

Rob, did yours come with a safety? Mine sure is stiff. Probably a good thing for CC but my full size doesn't have one so nothing to compare.

I ASSUME you mean a "side" safety, as they all have the "trigger" safety...

They had them either way......for the same price, I chose one that also has the side safety, as my wife likes to shoot it and she has less hand gun experience than I do.

I think a side safety is a good option UNTILL you absolutely learn the "muscle memory" of keeping your finger out of the trigger guard! At THAT point, the trigger safety alone is just fine.

The side safety works fine on all the Shields I've handled, including mine.
