my toothbar arrived today and it took all of 15 minutes to drill the holes and install it... Went rock hunting and plucked a few of New Englands finest boulders out of the lawn... The mower deck is sure going to be happy now.......

and some "back molars" also........ very old.... has been in the back woods for years, but now back in front to my wifes regret... This is an original York Brand rake that I acquired in 1980 at an auction for $25. It was a great buy, but I had nothing to pull it with till now. Soon as the 3 point parts arrive, I will try it out. Kubota packed 2 right links for the 3 point hitch and no left... waiting for UPS to deliver now......

Nice setup Junkman. I like the 5 tooth bar. Could you tell me who makes it and the cost? Thanks, Steve

It was made by Long. Don't know how much it cost because I ordered it from a local diesel repair place that I use and they haven't billed me yet. Fit great with 2 washers on one side and one on the other. I used a 1 3/16" hole saw on my De Walt 18V drill. It was fast to drill and it took me longer to find 3 suitable washers than to do the total install. I sprayed the drilled holes with cosmoline so they won't rust and put neversieze on the bolt threads. Finished up by spraying the bolts themselves with cosmoline. Don't like rust is all that I can say!!!!!!

Junkman. I can't quite tell. Does your toothbar cover the front edge of your FEL?

They are just 9 days old now and their eyes don't open till 10 days...... Mama Molly still won't let me take them out of her sight and considering that it is 50 degrees during the daytime, and by the time they are 6 weeks old, it will probably be around 30 degrees, I don't think that it will happen..... Please forgive me for this and consider the attached as a substitute ........

The tooth bar doesn't cover the cutting edge of the bucket, but the individual teeth grab onto it top and bottom. I will get a picture of it in the morning and post it for you, so you will be able to see the detail. The one thing that I did find when mounting it was that I needed to give it a tap with my 3 pound persuader to get the groove in the teeth to firmly seat against the cutting edge. I am impressed that each tooth is perfectly aligned with the rest of them. I am now thinking that I might have ordered it with more teeth, but don't know if that would have made it a better or worse product... These are the things that you only learn from experiance....... yours or others that share their experiences on TBN......

Can I ask how long it took for you to get it after you ordered it ? I ordered my tractor and a number of implements, etc., and a tooth bar on July 18 - tractor delivered on August 1, pallet forks about a month later with my auger, but still no tooth bar. Everytime I call (about every two weeks) I am told it has not arrived. I am becoming more than a bit irritated.

Ron........
It was about a week or 10 days..... definitely no more than that..... I think that they lost your order. I would suggest that you cancel it and order one from Carver in N.C. They are known for fast and reliable service. All you need to give them is the inside dimension of your bucket and the thickness of the cutting edge.... and I almost forgot....... Your credit card number.....
