Tractor
RK37SC & John Deere 2030
Went through the following comparisons: LS i3040 vs. R4020 vs. R4010 vs. U5020 vs. Mahindra 4035 vs. 5035 vs. Kubota MX5100 4WD Gear.

Was initially going for the i3040, but just couldn't get away from the fact the the R4010 and the R4020 just felt "right" for me for what I need to do and had by far the most bang for the buck. But the R4020's extra hp made it the clear choice for just a few extra bucks. So I pulled the trigger on it this morning.

I won't be taking delivery of it for a week or so. Am having a couple of extra hyd. ports put on the loader just behind the bucket attachment so I can use a rock bucket or 4-in-one bucket or grapple or demo hammer. Am also going to have some hooks welded onto the bucket and will put on a hitch receiver myself (thanks to y'all on this forum for those ideas).

Already have a King Kutter SUPER heavy duty rear blade, will be getting a Kodiak heavy duty bushhog, a post hole digger, and a rock bucket/grapple of some kind (if I can find one that's not so danged expensive), and probably also a finish mower. Maybe also a seeder/spreader, a disc, a boom bar, and/or a trailer.

Would like to hear from y'all about good choices for the finish mower, heavy-duty disc, and rock bucket/grapple.

Pics will definitely be posted when I receive it.

Congrats. Cant wait to see the pics. Great choice.

Hydraulic ports in the front are a superb addition.
I'm just going to run hoses I guess...

I had pretty good luck last November doing the timed auction with these guys:

Industrial Heavy Equipment Auctions | Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers

I'm lucky that they have a site here in Houston so I can easily go and look over the stuff on the weekend before the auction. I described the whole process and the prices I paid back then on TBN here:

They had another auction in Houston last week and the only thing I picked up was a 60" toothed SSQA bucket. I had considered ordering a toothbar for my standard bucket, but it was going to be more than I paid ($275) at auction and I would have had to install it to boot. They will be auctioning grapples in the timed auction in Orlando tomorrow so you can easily watch to see what they are going for in that market. You can also check out the selling prices of stuff in previous auctions.

Congrats on the R4020 purchase. A very nice tractor with so many standard features. Enjoy!

Did your LS dealer tell you that LS has implements, or what they are? They've got some pretty good ones! You might give 'em a look.
