I just took possession of it a couple of weeks ago and have hardly used it. I removed the FEL a few days ago and went back to reattach it and somehow got it out of line with the receiver and the hydraulic lines on the FEL came in contact with the grill guard and bent them and busted one of them open. Man was I mad at myself and somewhat embarrassed to have to call up my dealer and tell them. Of course, they've seen it all and told me to drop it off and file a claim with Kubota insurance and they will cover it (less deductable of course). That is a surprise but I intend to file a claim tomorrow. Anyway, it's now sitting at the dealer and waiting repair.

Sad and pitiful story eh?

Anyway, the tractor itself is quite nice. I previously owned and Massey Ferguson which I traded in on the Kubota. What a great little machine. I can't wait to get it back so I can start clearing the area where I plan to build a tractor shed. Plus I have several tons of landscape rock to move into a more accessible area and on and on and on.

We've all been there.
Confession is good for the soul.
If you don't make any mistakes, you're not doing anything.
Just a pebble in the road of life.
All will be well!

Good Luck and thanks for posting!

If that is the worst you ever do, your way ahead, stuff happens to most of us at one time or the other.

Could have been worse like hitting your bride car or the house...just chalk it up to owning tractor.

Give us an update on how the Kubota Insurance claim worked out for you. I am coming up on my annual renewal, and wanted to see how a relatively small claim was handled.

My story of woe. I bent the pto output shaft on my new L3901 with 20 something hours on it. Had my Farmi Winch running and backed over a log causing the winch to lift up beyond allowed travel. New pto shaft, bearings, and seal in the neighborhood of $400+. Did I learn anything? Maybe.... Haven't broken/bent anything else yet. Now 190 hours.

I did the same thing on my 2601...only I scratched my hood, ruptured a hydro line, etc...I have KTAC and did NOT turn that in...just had a hydro line made ($55) and replaced...
