Hey guys, any help would be great! I bought a second hand 2007 jinma 454 with the SL105ABT 3banger with a inline 3PL111 pump with 1200 hours. I guess i didn't notice the fuel was getting in the oil when i bought it but i found out the other day went to use it! I started driving it and at more than 1200RPM it starts ROLLING white smoke.. I shut it off and i went to check the oil and pulled dip stick and oil started flowing out of the dang thing. Ive been working on diesels for a good wile and took a good look and could only assume fuel was crossing into the engine via the injector pump shaft seal. Its a 17x28x5mm seal so i took pump off, and installed new seal, filled pump back up with oil, changed engine oil and thought i was a happy camper. Well, I put it together and started it back up, when used at more then 2000PRM it would start the rolling white smoke again and blocking out the sun light... ( NO JOKE ) I checked oil and it was ok and correct level! I figured id just be easy on it and keep it under 2K then if it was going to be picky. Well after about 2 hours of playing around in he field it starts blowing smoke again and i was at only 1800 rpm.. I shut it off and check oil... HOLY SH*% it starts draining out dip stick again.. I am about to cry... I dont understand! How the heck can it get gallons of fuel in oil like that? especially on a new seal! The injectors seem ok, runs clean with no real smoke othersowse.

What about the the plungers leaking or possibly the lift pump leaking fuel into the pump and pressurizing the pump causing fuel up be pushed back in the crank case past the IP seal? HHHHHHHHHHH :confused2: I never been in one of these pumps

The pump camshaft seal has nothing to do with fuel. It just keeps the oil in the fuel injection pump/governor assembly. Did you check the fuel injection pump dipstick, or is your pump oiled from the engine? (Not familiar with your particular engine). Being an old diesel wrench you should know that white smoke that lingers in the air is unburned fuel. Your crankcase filling with fuel like that indicates that either your injectors are sticking open (white smoke) and washing the oil from the cylinder walls (not good), and/or your barrel and plunger assemblies are toast (could be corrosion from diesel bugs). Service parts are not available for these fuel injection pumps, so you are probably looking at a complete new assembly. The lift pump would only leak fuel into the fuel injection pump/governor sump.

Yes the lift pump are known to leak inside the pump housing on these engine.
But, if it is the case, why the fuel is not coming out of the breather cap on top of the governor housing, first if the pump is so pressurized ? It is an air venting plug and if the pump is leaking at such rete it should leak fuel by there first IMO.

How is your hydraulic oil level? Do you have a loader attachment?
Here is a cross sectional view of a typical inline fuel injection pump.

I really have no idea, but that makes sense! Now I'm really wondering

I filled it all the way up when i changed all the fluids, ill have to check it again! Are you suggesting that the HDY oil maybe leaking out the pump and into the engine oil?
funny part about that is the motor oil still seemed pretty thick.. not thinned out like you would expect with diesel fuel... Ill look into this!!

A blown seal in the hydraulic pump will fill the engine crankcase up in short order. This is usually caused from deadheading the pump, which is usually caused by a defective pressure relief valve not unseating, or defective quick connect loader couplers. If your engine oil doesn't smell heavily of diesel fuel then fuel cross contamination isn't your problem.

Well guess what guys, found the problem! it was the rear pump. It blew the seal completely off the shaft and it was pretty chewed up.
I took the pump off, changed the oil and used it for 7 hours today raking hay... NO more rising oil level!! Im so dang happy!! I simply cannot thank you all enough!
I got a injection pump on the way, that i dont even need.

And the white smoke went away too?

Well thinking Bob.👍
We where pointed to a fuel related problem, then you think of something different.
This show how difficult to make a distant diagnostic.

We will never hear from him again. I think the white smoke was a red herring, or imagined.
