Kubota BX2200, '55 Farmall Cub, '57 Ford 640
Well thanks to all of the help I have received from this forum I have finally got my tractor. BX 2200, yes that's right I did upgrade to the 2200 over the 1800 at the last minute. I still think the 1800 would be plenty of power but I figure on keeping this for a long time and like many of you have said, over time the price dif is just a no brainer. It's still on the trailer in the parking lot of my office so I don't have much to report. But I will...

Congrats......

Things I've learned in the past month..... Refer to the book when un-mounting and re-mounting the deck and loader. The Loader is real quick to learn how to do. The mower has a few added steps to keep in mind. Make sure the PTO shaft is firmly mounted. ( a friend had his jump off while his wife was mowing) Make sure the front bracket is mounted correctly. Mine just popped off while mowing and the deck dropped down in front. Didn't hurt anything. Just glad I test drove mowing instead of the wife having it happen to her. I heard "pling" and knew something was wrong..... Make sure you dial the cut level back to where you want it. (I wondered why it was cutting too low).....

I guess I just got cocky and didn't thing I need to look at the book as a reminder.

These are my mis-fortunes with a new machine but I didn't hurt anything or anybody... I lucked out.......

Have fun, It's a great tool/toy.......... Tom

My wife's from OZ. I was just there in Jan during the bush fires. Good place to own a tractor.

I don't think many here ARE normal... have you cut yourself lately? Do it and you notice your blood is a little more "orange" than normal.
