I am a Kubota convert.

I have a JD 790 with FEL. Just ordered a new L3130 with 723 QA loader and Woods 48 inch Pallet Loader.

Tractor has R-4 tires, in searching some of these previous posts I read that there is (was?) a lag problem with these...is it still present or has this been addressed by factory. What are symptoms?


I was looking green but they are all plastic and 723 is more loader than JD 300cx.

Any suggestions to this first time "Bota" owner are welcome and appreciated.

Well, I am also a green to orange convert, but on a smaller scale. A good friend whose been farming for 30 years, and owns an excavation construction company is thinking of switching from Deere to something else too. When I told I bought a Kubota because the comparable Deere was a few thousand dollars more, he told me he has been thinking for a while now that he pays too much money for green paint.

If the numbers that were previously posted for gear ratio are correct then there is no need to worry about lag on the 3130 or 3430. Only the 3830 and up are showing lag calculations.
