Hydrtstatic Forward & Backwards

Having an issue with my B7500. When I push the hydrostatic pedal to go forward, then release, the unit does not go immediately stop. Rather, it remains in the forward gear. Same for reverse. I replaced the damper thinking this would work, but the issue remains. Is there something else I need to replace? Thanks.

I've seen this issue on a lot of B tractors, even came close to buying one. I've heard that the issue is usually caused by tacky grease in the fitting and the solution is to put fresh grease in. There's a video on youtube describing the problem and a fix too. If mine starts to come back to center slowly I make sure to put new grease in via the zerk on the underside halfway between the two pedals and to wipe all excess off. It could of course also be something mechanical, but I'd start with grease in case you can get off cheaply.

My B2400 was the same way, I had to grease that shaft that the hydrostat pedal pivoted on whenever I greased the deck. Good luck.

Anyone know what the recommended grease interval is for that pivot? I've been doing mine every time I do the FEL (~10 hours), just because I can (no mmm).

MYy L3400 manual said every 50 hrs.. but I have done it between that interval.. It is pretty quick to do.

Thanks for the info. I did grease the pivit. But I guess I probably have to remove do more -- maybe I need to remove the pivit bar? Thanks again.

I have always had the same issue with my BX2350. I keep the pedal pivot well greased. The pedal in fact returns very smoothly to center as long as the engine is off. However, when the engine is running it only returns to center on its own about half the time. The other half, I need to apply reverse pressure with my foot to get it to center. The problem gets a little better when the HST is fully warmed up after about 15 minutes, but still exists.

Both my BX2200 and BX2660 pedal pivot have to be greased often in order to return to center.
