Don't know if anyone can help me or not but here goes nothing.
I have a Model Series 620 Hydrostatic Lawn Tractor, that the pump heats up to the point it quits traveling. The fan is clear of debris and is working properly, I have a rather large area to mow, about 5 acres and it is annoying to say the least to have to stop and let the engine run to cool the pump down.
I was wondering if I drained some Hy oil out, "it's very light wt.oil," and add some STP, or some heavier oil, if it would possibly help this situation.
Any ideas, or suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks
Stoney

Well from a know nothing situation, but owning a Cadet Hydro garden tractor for 20 yrs, first thing I would do would be change the fluid and filter.

Change the fluid (and filter if it has one) and use a synthetic fluid. They tend to run a little cooler and hold up better in temp extremes and may solve your problem.
