Hi All... Newbie here...
I have a 2000 Allmand TLB-35D Isuzu diesel that I've owned for over 10 years now... She's always worked pretty hard for me... Recently noticed an occasional squealing from one of the rear wheels and it started leaking... I pulled the axle and it sho nuf needs a bearing & seal... So far so good... When I opened the pumpkin I heard the dreaded sound of teeth hitting the drain pan - ugh... The spiders we shot which I could deal with but a tooth on the ring and a tooth on the pinion are chipped from catching some spider debris no doubt...
Now the axle housing has to come out for this one... Whatever right..? I'm deep in this thing and I can't get the hydro-static drive motor out... I've dismantled everything I can and the shaft comes out about an inch to where I can see the start of the splines but it won't seem to budge any further...
The manual (poor excuse for one) says it is a Ross ME-24, the P/N on the motor is ME242505AAAT which I can't find anything on... I am told that the "25" indicates the shaft style which is exactly what I need to know... I'm worried that the shaft has some kind of retainer on the end preventing me from pulling the motor out and I don't what to put too much force on it... I don't see any reason why it would warrant one in this application since it's all bolted together very well but I have nothing to go on...
Anyone have any guidance to help me sort this out is much appreciated..?
