Hydraulics JD 2040

Hi My brother used to tractor and did some heavy work with FEL:roll eyes: There is now no hid to FEL and 3 pt linkage.
Have checked all filters and levels , Front pump and steering ok .
Any ideas ??

What's the tractors serial number? 2040 could be open or closed center hyd's depending on serial number which are different to diagnose problems. Is engine a 3 or 4 cylinder? Did you check frt hyd pump drive coupler to be sure hyd pump shaft is rotating when engine crankshaft is rotating. Have you checked/cleaned trans oil sump screen(parts key 15)???
