Hi everyone
I have just joined today having searched and view here before for info etc, it was most helpfull so i though i go one step further a sign in.

I know that there are plenty of B6000 out there with lots of knowledge on this setup , well guys with extensive knowledge etc tractor systems full stop so i'll take any advise guys.

Anway, my problem is this.
I have a Kubota B6000 which i want to add to the current hydraulic setup, nothing overkill , just a few bits.
I currently have as add-ons to the system, a K-450B FEL and a Dozer Blade of which both run from the onboard hydraulics( albeit a bit slow).
The problem that has now come to light is one of mixing single and double acting rams .
At the moment, the FEL spool valve is the first piece of kit hooked up in the system, pump goes into the monoblock valve "p" input (2x double acting lines) then the "t" outlet connects back into the line onto the rear 3pt hitch.

The spool in a normal centre neutral type with a carry-over -port, but i dont think its a power beyond type.

The rear axle/trans is the reservoir for the oil so as the hitch is the last valve at present the oil just drops back down into the res that way.

The FEL has 3 rams all double acting connected to the valve block by Q/R fittings, the setup does work well but i think a bit more speed would be good but the lifting power etc is excellent.

The Dozer blade has 2 rams, one double acting to control L/R blade angle and one single acting ram for the blade high/lowering control.

I cant currently hook it up to spool valve at present due to the spool current config.

How can i configure the hydraulics to permit both items being able to be fitted but using the same spool valve , or cant I.
any help would be really appreciated on this one.

Pictures would help, but I'll throw out my thoughts on this. I'm sure others will jump in with more knowledge than I have, but here goes.

My first thought would be to change the lift ram on the dozer from SA to DA. The other option would be to add an additional valve for controlling the lift on the dozer, but personally I think changing the ram would be easier and more natural for control. I would use the lift control for the FEL for dozer blade lift and curl/dump control for the left/right control of the dozer blade. Does this make any sense? I'm assuming that you'll be removing the FEL when installing the dozer blade which will be leaving the controls available for running the dozer blade.

Your FEL three cylinders....two lifting parallell on the same valve, and one bucket on the other valve right??

Using QD's on the work ports, you can disconnect the FEL and connect the blade....the "blade down" port , will be un-connected (single action cyl) and remain "plugged" with the QD....no change of single action cylinder or control valve needed....

I believe the standard for using a SA cyl on a DA valve is to plug the B work port, and if using the QD's, that will work as well.

Of course activating control valve the other direction (lower the blade) will cause PRV to by pass if lever is pushed to end ....LOL...but I suppose it is a short stroke so I shouldn't be such a big deal...It is not the perfect solution, but it will work....I agree with you cyril that a double action cylinder would be better than messing with a new 3-spool valve...

thanks for the replies guys.

On the point about changing the single to a double acting ram, i have been trying to source a suitable off the shelf item but without luck, its quite a specific fittment, i could use a generic type ram but it would mean making quite a lot of modifications to the blade and its ram mounts etc, so not an ideal plan...:(

as far as whats fitted, the FEL is removed so the blade can be fitted.

The FEL does as you say use 2 for lifting on one spool and the other for the bucket dump.

To be honest i did think about doing as you suggested and just leave one Q/R unconnected,but when i asked a local guy, i was advised that because the return does not go directly to tank but instead onto the rear 3pt there would be backpressure on spool and it would not lower correctly etc, was this correct or not guys.

being able to utilise the exisisting spools for both bits of kit is prefered, otherwise next best option.

Just to go one step further, Following AK's 100% correct advice that the SA cylinder can be plugged into one side of the valve, just note that when the blade lowers the system will go into relief, making the engine bog down a little-no harm will be done.
