Hydraulics Foaming (Jinma 224)

I'm having problems with the hydraulic fluid foaming out the breather vent. The problem started after having to replace one of the hoses on the FEL which had a leak.

Now, when lifting the FEL and the lowering the fluid foams out the breather. Also, the 3PT will not lift while the FEL is connected. If I disconnect the FEL hydraulics, the 3PT hitch operates without foaming the fluid.

I have drained and replaced the fluid already.

Foam means air getting mixed in, normally susupect the suction side (from tank to pump).

It sounds like you have a resrtriction in one of the quick connects on the loader. What loader are you using? Do you have 3 hoses (not including the 4 to the loader cylincers) or 2?

based on what you said.... as blue chip stated, air is in or getting in the system....

Since it started after the hose relacement, make sure it is not sucking air at the connections of your new hose. You introduced air to the system when the hose broke and when you installed the new one.

Make sure your fluid level is correct. And you will have to operate the FEL to purge the air.... and check fluid level again.

Also you have to remember not to lower the fel without the engine running,as that will overflow the hyd.tank! unless you have a fel with "float"
