I have a Kubota bx2660 with front loader and after it is warmed up the loader valve in the first dump position sounds like it is on the releif valve, second position is ok. It does the same thing with my hydraulic angle front blade. I was wandering if anybody had any idea's.

Have you checked the hydraulic system pressure. The relief valve might be set to low, or there is trash in it.

Does that valve have regeneration position? Second positon I take is a float position? How is linkage to spools? Just some other thoughts to look in to.

I don't much about hydraulics the first dump position is slow second position is fast. All the valve positions are fine except the slow dump.

I don't think buckets use a float position, The lift arms do. The fast dump sounds like regen mode. With the bucket on the ground flat, can you curl the bucket and lift the front wheels? Can you do the same in the second position. The second position, should have more power, and is the non regen position. The fast dump is probably used most of the time, as there is not much of a load on the cylinders in the dump mode.

I can't lift the front wheels off the ground in the first position but can with second position. I also checked hydraulic pressure and it is 1850. The first position is the only one to make noise and only when warmed up it is fine cold.

That sound is probably the regen fluid, as you are sending twice the amount of fluid into the cyl for extension. You do not have full power in the regen mode. You have more volume and less pressure.

Read THIS thread for a detailed description of the regenerative feature.

The detent position is misleading. To me, a detented position is when the lever stays in that position like the float mode, and stays there until forced off the detent. The poster that KennyD referred, said that the regen position was the second position. This seems kind of illogical, as the dump mode takes little force, and if you want it to dump quickly, then the first part of the lever movement should be the regen, as it is on some valves.

I believe even on some log splitter valves, the regen is in the first part of the lever movement, and if it does stall in the regen mode, just push the lever past the regen position, to the full power mode.

Regen mode, double speed, half power.
